We service the needs of residential and commercial plumbing contractors, builders, remodelers, designers, as well as homeowners who are building or remodeling their homes in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area.

I don't live in the Greater Cincinnati area. Can I buy your products in my city?

We are a distributor for the Cincinnati area, not a manufacturer. However, we do provide
links to manufacturers' websites where, in most cases, you can locate a dealer or distributor nearest you.
Do you have an on-line store?

No. Currently, we do not sell on-line.
What We Sell
Do you sell residential or commercial lines?

We sell plumbing, fixtures, cabinetry, and appliances for both residential and commercial projects.
What products do you sell?
Can you handle large orders for builders and developers?

Do you sell only products from the vendors listed on your website?

We stock only products made by the vendors listed on our website, but we can
special order almost any item from any manufacturer.
Do you sell all the products pictured on your website?

Unless we specifically mention otherwise, the answer is yes.
Do you sell parts for old, out-of-production fixtures?

While we have an extensive inventory of many replacement parts, quite often we are asked for parts we no longer carry.

Our staff may be able to assist you in finding a local supplier in the Cincinanti area. There are a number of suppliers on the Web who sell parts.
What is the warranty on your products?

Warranties vary by product and are provided by manufacturers only.
Please Note:
The installer is responsible for proper installation of all materials. Damage that occurs during installation is the sole responsibility of the installer.

Keidel will coordinate warranty service and will serve as a liaison with the factory or installer to resolve any problems that may arise with your project.

We will assist our customers in filing warranty claims if needed, in accordance with manufacturers' individual polices.
Do you stock everything you sell?

We sell products from over 200 vendors, it is impossible for any one store to stock everything these companies manufacturer.

However, when it comes to Plumbing, the answer is "Probably. "

We pride ourselves in maintaining adequate stocking levels of all plumbing items we carry; in fact our fulfillment level for the items we stock averages 97%. And since we have several locations to draw from, we can often fill your order from another branch in 24 hours.
Returns Policy
What if something is wrong, or I'm not happy with my order?

We will personally work with you, and if necessary with local factory representatives, to resolve your problem in a timely fashion according to the terms of each manufacturer's warranty. This is how we've conducted our business since 1911, by providing service both before and after the sale.
Can I return an item after I buy it?

Returned merchandise is subject to the following limitations:
- New Merchandise:
Merchandise that is new, in carton, unopened, is returnable up to 90 days from the date of purchase, with no prior authorization and no restocking charge.
- Opened, but unused merchandise will be subject to a restocking charge if returned.
- Defective Merchandise:
- Defective merchandise that has not been installed can be returned to us for full credit.
- Defective merchandise that has been installed is subject to the manufacturer's warranty, and may be returned only if the manufactuer agrees to honor the product warranty.
- Special Order Merchandise:
Special order merchandise is returnable only if manufacturer agrees to accept the return, and will be subject to a restocking fee.
- Cabinetry
Cabinets cannot be returned once they have been installed.
What if my order arrives damaged?

If our trucks deliver your merchandise, we assume responsibility for its condition. If it arrives damaged on one of our trucks, we will take it back immediately.
Installation Options
Do you provide installation for the products you sell?
Bath & Plumbing:
No. We are not plumbers and we do not do installation work.

In the case of shower doors, we can arrange for the manufacturer to measure and install them, and they provide their own warranty.

Your contractor or builder assumes responsibility for proper installation.
Kitchens, Cabinetry, Appliances
We work with qualified, reliable contractors who will install your cabinets if you'd like.

We will coordinate deliveries with them and provide you with a single invoice for the completed project.

How can I find a reputable Plumber, Builder or Remodeler?
Plumbing Contractor:
The best source of advice is friends and family. Look for someone in your own area.

He/she should be licensed and may be a member of the CMPA or similar local trade organization.

If you're not sure about a plumber's credentials, ask to see his license. License requirements can be found in our plumbing references section under related sites.
Builder or Remodeling Contractor:
The best source of advice is friends and family. Look for someone in your own area.

He/she should be licensed and may be a member of the local /national Home Builders' Association or similar local trade organization.

Can I do the job myself?

It depends on your level of expertise, but in many cases you can. We can give you information to help you choose the appropriate item for the job and one that it is suited for the purpose.
Obey the Law:
Know all local building codes affecting your project ... before you begin. Installation of certain items can only be performed by a licensed, professional contractor.

Delivery Options
Do you deliver?

Yes, if you are in the Cincinnati Metropolitan area. We have a fleet of trucks that can deliver material direct to your jobsite. We can even hold prepaid orders for delivery at a later time.

If you are outside of the Cincinnati metropolitan area, we can arrange for shipping on non-china items.
Is there a charge for delivery?

Delivery to an accessible garage or first floor location is free in the greater Cincinnati area, except for large luxury appliances, which may require a nominal fee.

If you are outside of the Cincinnati metropolitan area, shipping costs will be determined by the method of shipment and the shipping company.
Do you Drop-ship merchandise?

Yes, we can arrange for large orders to be shipped direct from the manufacturer to your door.
PaymentOptions
Do you require a deposit or prepayment?
Bath Fixtures & Plumbing:
A 50% deposit is required on all Special Order items, with the balance due just prior to delivery.

If the item is shipped direct to you from the fabricator or factory (such as shower doors), payment in full is due when the order is placed.
Cabinetry & Appliances:
In cases where credit has not been established with us, we generally require a 50% deposit to order cabinetry. That's because this merchandise is non-returnable. The balance of the order will become due just prior to delivery.

An exception is made on installed jobs, where 15% of the total won't be due until installation is complete.

Non-stock appliances also require a 50% deposit but models that we carry in stock can be reserved with no money down.

Certain products may be shipped direct to you from the fabricator or factory, however, and these would require payment in full upon placement of the order.
Do you accept Credit Cards?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for payment.
Can I set up a charge account with Keidel Supply?

If you buy plumbing material in volume regularly for your business and you can provide us with three long-term trade references, we can probably establish an account for you.

We can ordinarily extend credit to the owner of the property, providing that funds can be secured by a third party such as a bank or savings and loan.

If you are an individual building your own home, if you can provide us with the name of the bank that is financing the project, as long as they provide us security, we can set up an account in your name.

We can also set up accounts secured with cash or credit card for your convenience.
What if my contractor or builder is buying the material?

If a contractor or builder will be buying the goods on your behalf, credit will be dependent on his experience with us. If he has not established a line of credit sufficient to cover the cost of the merchandise, a guarantee by the property owner will be required.
I am a contractor but the homeowner is providing the financing or construction loan. Can I get credit?

Until you have established sufficient credit experience with us, we will require such jobs to be sold jointly with the property owner.
Do you provide job accounting?

If you are a contractor who is working on a number of different projects and want to keep a separate accounting for each one, we can help segregate those bills for you.
Before You Visit Our Showroom
What should I bring with me when I visit your showroom?

You should have a sketch of your existing floor space when you come to see us in order for us to get started on a design. But before the plans are finalized, we must inspect the jobsite and verify all measurements.

In addition you should know what your project budget and/or allowance is.
I have a designer/decorator. Can he/she come with me?

If you are working with a designer, arrange to bring him/her with you if at all possible. If you have a particular theme to maintain, we will work with your decorator to choose items that will achieve your objective.
Design Services
Does Keidel have a designer on staff to help plan my project?

We have several designers at our Kenwood location. Our designers are an extremely experienced and talented group of people. It is their goal to make your new home or remodeling project a dream come true!
Do you charge a fee for providing a quote or design services?

If you already have a set of detailed plans or drawings, and are looking for a price quote, bring them in and we'll be happy to give you a quote free of charge. We will trust the measurements provided, and base our quote on what you have given us. We are not responsible for any measurement errors.

if you decide to have us draw up plans and prepare pricing for you, a design retainer is required. This retainer is a fee and should not be considered a deposit towards purchase. The amount of the fee is determined by the amount of work requested of the designer.

I am remodeling, can I bring in my own measurements?

Yes. You should have a sketch of your existing floor space when you come to see us in order for us to get started on a design. But before the plans are finalized, we must inspect the jobsite and verify all measurements.
Do you guarantee everything will fit as planned?

Once we have measured the room, we will guarantee that everything will fit. If we must rely on measurements you provide us, we cannot make this guarantee.
Please Note:
In the case of countertops, our guarantee extends only to the countertop itself, and not to sink and/or other cut-outs made by fabricators or contractors.

To insure these cut-outs fit the sink and/or integrated appliances and the cabinet base, cutting should be made at the job site and not off-site. The installer assumes responsibility for the accuracy of these cuts.
Other
Do all fixtures go together? Are plumbing items inter-changeable?

No. Fixtures from different manufacturers don't always go together; sometimes even those from the same company won't fit. Some

Do you sell countertops separately?

We sell granite and synthetic solid surface countertops separately, but we only sell laminates or other lower cost materials as part of a complete kitchen.
Is hardware included with cabinets?

Only hinges are included with the cabinets as they come from the factory. Knobs and pulls must be selected separately. We offer a wide variety of options in this category.
How long will it take to get my cabinets?

That depends on the manufacturer. Lead times will vary between 3 and 12 weeks, and these times will change depending on current demand. Counter tops require additional lead time of 1 to 3 weeks depending on the material chosen.
