Kiedel Supply Co. Inc.
Company History
Art Keidel Sr. founded Keidel Supply Co. Inc. in 1911.

He began as a journeyman plumber and pipe fitter, contracting his services to local businesses. His son, Art Keidel Jr, joined his business in 1934. In 1936, during the great depression, he joined a group of local plumbers to form a buying group called Unity Supply at 12th and Vine St. in downtown Cincinnati. The business became secondary in 1941 when Art Keidel Jr. left to serve his country in World War II.
When the war ended, Art Jr. returned home and took charge of the company. In 1945, he moved the business to his home on Delaware Ave in Norwood, the site of the present showroom. He lived upstairs; his father downstairs.

He changed the business name to Keidel Supply, and later incorporated under that name.

He bought a second store in Westwood in 1953, built the Norwood warehouse in 1956, added a Westwood warehouse in 1960, expanded the Norwood showroom in 1964, and in 1976 he bought property in Sharonville that soon became a third selling branch and his master shipping warehouse.
Barry Keidel assumed the presidency upon Art Jr.'s death in 1991. He has continued to expand the business, opening a fourth selling branch in Withamsville in 1995. In 1997, an exclusive cabinetry and appliance showroom opened in Kenwood.
The year 2001 marked the grand reopening of the newly remodeled Norwood showroom, and more improvements are planned in the near future.
