Cast Iron Pipe Fittings

Cast Iron Drain fittingCast Iron No hub pipe is never threaded or welded. It is connected by use of no-hub couplings.

Hub couplings consist of a ribbed steel sleeve reinforced and held in place by steel band clamps on either end, and lined with a rubber gasket.

They are similar in appearance to flex couplings, but are much stronger and more durable.

These couplings connect not only pipe to pipe, but also pipe to fitting. Cast iron ells, tees, and wyes are sold that join and change the direction of the pipe, but they are all connected by use of no hub couplings.
