Exterior Valves/Faucets
Sill Faucet (Sillcock)
a faucet designed to be installed horizontally on the outside wall of a building.
The faucet has a flange that mounts flush with the wall and attaches to it. It's intended to mount flush against the side of a building. Faucets come with either FIP threads or CTS sweat inlets, and with hose threads on the spout, usually angled at 45 degrees.
Hose Bibb
A horizontal faucet with male or female IPS threads (MIP/FIP) on the inlet side, and male hose threads on the spout angled downward at approx 45 degrees.
The male IPS end can be used as a female sweat connection if desired.
Freezeless Faucet

A Freezeless Faucet is a long body horizontal faucet with MIP threads on the inlet side and the outside handleand spout shaped like a hose bib, but the seat at the base of the valve located well inside the building.
This allows all the water to drain out of the line past the valve seat and out the spout. These valves are sold with or without a vacuum breaker.
The Woodford Model 22 is designed to provide year round hot and cold water service regardless of outside temperature. Separate hot and cold inlet tubes and operating handles allow for manual operated water temperature control. An integrated vacuum breaker is included.
Freezeless Faucets must be installed with downward pitch toward nozzle and hose must be removed in freezing weather or faucet may freeze and burst
