All About Pipe
Cast Iron No Hub Pipe

Also known as Soil Pipe, No Hub pipe is used in certain locales and for commercial buildings for soil stacks.

It comes in 10 ft. lengths. It is joined by rubber sleeve-type couplings and band clamps. It can be connected to other types of drainage pipe by using adapters.

It is extremely durable, nearly indestructible, will not react with most chemicals, and will not burn or melt except under the most extreme conditions; therefore it reduces the hazard of poisonous gases in the case of fire. It is not suitable for delivery of water, however.

It cannot be soldered, threaded, or welded, and can only by connected by steel banded rubber sleeved adaptors.

For underground drains, cast iron is more expensive than other types of drainage pipe, but serves better where rigidity is a must or where tree roots are massive enough to crush fiber or enter clay joints.

Keidel stocks Cast Iron pipe in the following sizes: *
No Hub 1 ½" to 6" X 10 ft. lengths
* hub and spigot are special order items only
